Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Echo Kwento Mo™. By purchasing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. About Echo Kwento Mo™
Echo Kwento Mo™ is a family heritage story preservation service operated by AI Projects. Our service uses artificial intelligence to guide elderly individuals through 10 structured life-story conversations via WhatsApp, producing a Family Heritage Book from the stories shared.
By using Echo Kwento Mo™ you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. The Service
Echo Kwento Mo™ provides the following services:
- Standard Package — 10 weekly WhatsApp sessions with Ligaya (our AI companion) and delivery of a digital Heritage Book PDF
- Legacy Package — All Standard features plus a printed hardcover Heritage Book delivered to your address
Sessions are conducted in the language selected at purchase — English, Tagalog, Bahasa Malaysia, or Ilocano. The Heritage Book is written in the selected language.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service with reasonable notice.
3. Payments & Refunds
Payment: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are as listed on our website at the time of purchase.
Refund Policy:
- Full refund available if requested before Session 1 has begun
- 50% refund available if requested after Session 1 but before Session 5
- No refund available after Session 5 has been completed
- No refund on printed books once the print order has been submitted
To request a refund, contact us at hello@echokwentomo.app within 30 days of purchase.
4. User Responsibilities
By using Echo Kwento Mo™ you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when purchasing and setting up your package
- Ensure the elderly recipient is willing and consenting to participate in the sessions
- Not use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the service
- Not use the service to generate content that is harmful, defamatory, or offensive
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
5. Content & Intellectual Property
Your stories belong to you. All life stories, memories, and personal content shared during the sessions remain the intellectual property of the user and their family. Echo Kwento Mo™ does not claim ownership of any personal stories shared through the service.
Our platform belongs to us. The Echo Kwento Mo™ brand, Ligaya AI persona, website, session framework, and Heritage Book template are the intellectual property of AI Projects. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute these without written permission.
Heritage Book ownership. Upon delivery, the Family Heritage Book is your property. You may print additional copies for personal family use. Commercial reproduction or distribution is not permitted without written consent.
6. AI-Generated Content
Echo Kwento Mo™ uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to facilitate conversations and generate the Heritage Book narrative. Please be aware that:
- Ligaya is an AI companion, not a human counsellor or therapist
- The Heritage Book narrative is AI-assisted and based entirely on the stories shared by the user
- We recommend reviewing the Heritage Book content before sharing widely
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain minor inaccuracies — please review and request corrections if needed
Echo Kwento Mo™ is not a substitute for professional counselling, therapy, or legal advice.
7. Privacy & Data
Your use of Echo Kwento Mo™ is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at echokwentomo.app/privacy. By using the service you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. WhatsApp & Third Party Services
Echo Kwento Mo™ operates through WhatsApp Business Cloud API. Your use of WhatsApp is subject to Meta's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for any interruptions to the WhatsApp service outside of our control.
We use the following third-party services to deliver Echo Kwento Mo™:
- Anthropic Claude — AI conversation engine
- Meta WhatsApp Business API — message delivery
- Supabase — secure data storage
- Stripe — payment processing
9. Limitation of Liability
Echo Kwento Mo™ and AI Projects shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
- Loss of data due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
- Interruptions to WhatsApp or other third-party services
- Emotional distress arising from the content of Heritage Book sessions
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid for your package.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
For users in the Philippines, consumer protection rights under Republic Act 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines) are not affected by these terms.
