2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Echo Kwento Mo™:
- WhatsApp phone number — used to identify your session and deliver messages
- Conversation content — the stories, memories, and responses shared during the 10 guided sessions with Ligaya
- Language preference — English, Tagalog, Bahasa Malaysia, or Ilocano
- Purchase information — name, email, and payment details collected during checkout
- Photos — family photos submitted for inclusion in the Heritage Book (Legacy package only)
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or medical information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver the Echo Kwento Mo™ service — conducting guided story sessions via WhatsApp
- Generate your Family Heritage Book from the stories shared
- Send session reminders and delivery notifications
- Provide customer support
- Improve the quality of Ligaya's conversation experience
- Process payments and manage your purchase
We will never sell your personal information or your family's stories to third parties.
4. WhatsApp & Meta Platform
Echo Kwento Mo™ uses the WhatsApp Business Cloud API, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. By using our service via WhatsApp, you also agree to Meta's Privacy Policy available at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Messages sent through our WhatsApp service are processed through Meta's infrastructure. We access only the message content necessary to deliver our service.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your conversation data is stored securely in our database hosted on Supabase, which uses industry-standard AES-256 encryption. We implement the following security measures:
- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Database access is restricted to authorised personnel only
- We do not store your WhatsApp messages on Meta's servers beyond what is required for delivery
- Conversation history is stored only for the duration necessary to complete your Heritage Book
6. Data Retention
We retain your data as follows:
- Conversation data — retained for 24 months after your Heritage Book is delivered, then deleted
- Heritage Book content — retained permanently unless you request deletion
- Purchase records — retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and business laws
- Photos submitted — retained for 12 months after delivery, then deleted from our servers
7. Sharing of Information
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Print partners — your Heritage Book content is shared with our print-on-demand partner solely for the purpose of printing and delivering your book
- Payment processors — your payment information is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our servers
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users
We do not share your family's stories with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of all personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion — request deletion of your data (note: this will also delete your Heritage Book content)
- Portability — request your conversation data in a portable format
- Objection — object to certain uses of your data

9. Children's Privacy
Echo Kwento Mo™ is designed for use by adults aged 18 and above. The service is gifted by adult family members for their elderly parents and grandparents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via WhatsApp or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
